Boston Day and Evening Academy is a unique, alternative public charter high school located in Roxbury,MA. Its programs are tailored to serve any Boston Public School student who is overage or has dropped out, but wants to come back to school and earn a diploma.
BDEA programs provide both strong academics and relevant social and human services that contribute to the academic and personal success of BDEA students. There are three programs—the Day Program, the Evening Program and the Distance Learning Program—that all share curriculum and services, but address needs specific to distinctive groups of at-risk students.
The Drupal content management system was a perfect fit for this website project. Drupal’s wide range of modules allowed for easy customization for the school-wide calendar, photo gallery and class blogs. It also offers the possibility of further expansion down the road for expanded internal communication among faculty, staff and students, as well as growth of social networking among BDEA alumni.
